It’s not often you get to see the sunrise in subzero temperatures alone on a mountain top. Breathing the crisp air gave a sensation of peace and calm, mixed with delicate sounds of rhythmic wind all deepening the senses of a blissful view. When composing this shot I could already visualise the contrast of light and shadow in my black and white style. Taken from the summit of Mount Hotham, Victoria looking north to Mount Feathertop.
